Welcome to Cardora Tarot. This privacy policy explains how we handle information that may be created or provided when you use this platform. By using Cardora Tarot, you understand the data practices described here.
1. Who We Are
Cardora Tarot is a platform that provides online tarot card draws, spread tools, a local reading journal, and prompt-copying features.
This platform is currently operated by an individual and has not been incorporated as a company.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or data handling, you can contact us at:
Contact email: harpertarot49@gmail.com
2. Information We May Process
Depending on the features you use, Cardora Tarot may process your tarot question, selected spread type, number of cards, time unit, relationship type, A/B options, other reading settings, generated card results, card names, card meanings, prompt content, and entries you save in your local reading journal.
We may also process basic website usage data, such as page views, usage count, device type, browser type, language setting, approximate region, usage time, interaction events, and information you voluntarily provide when contacting us by email.
3. How the Reading Journal Is Stored
Cardora Tarot currently does not provide account login or cloud synchronization.
The reading journal is stored in your browser’s localStorage on your own device and browser. In other words, journal entries are mainly kept in your local browser environment, not in a Cardora Tarot cloud account database.
If you clear browser data, change devices, change browsers, use private browsing, lose your device, reset browser storage, or allow someone else to use your device, your journal may be deleted, unavailable, or visible to others with access to that browser.
Please manage your device and browser data carefully.
4. Prompt Copying and Third-Party AI Services
When you click the prompt-copying button, Cardora Tarot only copies prompt text to your device clipboard.
The platform does not automatically open a third-party AI platform and does not automatically send your question, reading result, prompt, journal content, or other data to OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, or any other third-party AI service.
If you choose to paste any content into a third-party AI platform, social platform, messaging app, or website, that content is handled according to the third party’s terms and privacy policy. Please review third-party data practices before using those services.
5. How We Use Information
Cardora Tarot may use relevant information to provide card draws, spreads, reading journals, prompt copying, and sharing features; display reading results; generate copyable prompt content; save local journal entries and preferences; and improve website functionality, interface design, user flow, and service quality.
We may also use information to analyze site traffic, feature usage, and trends; detect errors; maintain security; prevent abuse or abnormal behavior; and respond to questions or feedback you send by email.
6. Please Avoid Highly Sensitive Information
Tarot questions and journal entries may involve love, work, family, health, finance, relationships, or other private topics. Please consider carefully what you enter.
We recommend avoiding real names, phone numbers, addresses, identification numbers, account credentials, passwords, verification codes, medical records, diagnoses, highly sensitive health information, bank accounts, credit cards, investment accounts, company secrets, unpublished business information, or any sensitive details that clearly identify you or another person.
7. Analytics Tools
Cardora Tarot may use analytics tools to understand platform usage and improve features and user experience. These may include Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics 4.
Analytics tools may help us understand page views, usage trends, traffic sources, device and browser types, approximate regions, language settings, and interaction events such as starting a reading, selecting a spread, completing a draw, copying a prompt, sharing a result, saving a journal entry, or clicking a support link.
We do not intentionally send full tarot questions, A/B option content, journal content, full prompt text, or other sensitive personally identifying content as analytics event parameters.
If GA4 is used, Google may process usage data through cookies or similar technologies. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though some analytics or site functionality may be affected.
8. Microsoft Clarity Status
Cardora Tarot does not use Microsoft Clarity by default at this time.
If we introduce Microsoft Clarity, heatmap analytics, session replay, or similar tools in the future, we will update this privacy policy and provide any required notices or consent mechanisms where applicable.
If such tools are introduced, we will make reasonable efforts to avoid recording or exposing tarot questions, journal entries, or other sensitive information.
9. Cookies, localStorage, and Similar Technologies
Cardora Tarot may use cookies, localStorage, or similar technologies to provide and improve the service.
These technologies may be used to store your reading journal, remember preferences, keep site functionality working, analyze site traffic and usage, improve experience, and troubleshoot errors.
You can delete, block, or manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings. If you delete or block relevant storage, your reading journal may be lost and some features may not work properly.
10. Third-Party Services and External Links
Cardora Tarot may include third-party services or external links, such as Ko-fi or other support platforms, sharing features, third-party websites, and third-party AI platforms you choose to use.
When you click an external link or leave Cardora Tarot, your data and activity are handled according to that third party’s terms and privacy policy.
Cardora Tarot does not control third-party data practices and is not responsible for third-party content, functionality, security, or privacy measures.
11. We Do Not Sell Personal Information
Cardora Tarot does not sell your personal information.
We also do not intentionally provide tarot questions, reading journals, or prompt content to third parties for advertising sales.
12. Retention
Under the current platform design, reading journal entries are mainly stored in your browser localStorage. Their retention depends on your browser and device settings. If you clear browser data, relevant journal entries may be deleted.
Website usage data in analytics tools is retained according to the settings and policies of Vercel, Google, or relevant service providers. If you email us, the email and message may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, handle the issue, or manage communications.
When data is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or stop using it where reasonably possible.
13. Your Rights
You may contact us with privacy-related requests, such as asking whether we hold data related to you, asking us to correct inaccurate information you provided, requesting deletion of information you previously provided, asking how the platform handles data, or sharing concerns about data processing.
Because Cardora Tarot currently has no login system and journal entries are mainly stored in your browser localStorage, we may not be able to identify or access journal content stored on your device. If you want to delete local journal entries, you can use the website feature or clear site data in your browser.
To protect data security, we may need to verify your identity or request necessary information before responding to certain requests.
14. Data Security
Cardora Tarot uses reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect data, such as relying on trusted hosting services, limiting unnecessary data collection, and avoiding sending sensitive user input into analytics events.
However, internet transmission and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid entering information that is overly sensitive, personally identifying, or not meant to be exposed.
15. Minors
If you are a minor, we recommend using this platform only after a parent, guardian, or trusted adult understands and agrees to your use.
This platform does not encourage minors to treat tarot readings as the basis for major decisions.
16. Privacy Policy Updates
Cardora Tarot may update this privacy policy due to feature changes, service changes, analytics tool updates, legal requirements, or other reasons.
Updated policies will be published on this page and marked with the last updated date. If you continue using the platform after an update, you understand the updated policy.
17. Contact
